Before: This patient had a large amalgam filling in this tooth and part of the tooth had fractured off. He was interested in removing the silver color and restoring the tooth with a tooth-colored material.
After: In order to restore the strength of the tooth as well as the appearance of the tooth, the patient chose a porcelain onlay - which is similar to a crown, but doesn't extend below the gumline.
